Istikhara, can be done in many ways. One way is with Tasbeeh, where you read something specific and count the beads to get the result based on whether the count ends on an odd or even number. Another way with Tasbeeh is to hold it after making dua, and if the Tasbeeh starts moving naturally, it is considered a sign.

Istikhara can also be done with the Quran. After praying two Nafl, you close your eyes, open the Quran randomly, and the ayah where your eyes land is taken as guidance. Another method is with a Taweez, where you write a specific Taweez and keep it under your pillow; through this, you may see guidance in your dream. There is another way with Taweez where Quranic verses are written in boxes, and after making dua, you close your eyes, move your finger over the boxes, and stop randomly to get an answer. This method is more complex and usually requires help from an expert to interpret.
